We rent to the trade. Production companies, venues, promoters, event agencies, corporate AV teams, and in-house technical directors who need gear on a date they've already sold.

Most of our rental work is bundled with something else: a stage, a trucking run, a crew call, a power distro package. Some of it is a single console for a one-off. Both are normal. What we don't run is a walk-in rental counter — once gear leaves without anyone knowing what it's going into, reliability stops being something we can promise.
Everything we rent is our own inventory, maintained in our own shop, by the same people who prep it for our own shows.

Backline
Amps, drums, keys and guitars, with the accessories and spares that touring players actually ask for on a rider. We supply backline nationwide and our department is built to meet a rider as written, not to negotiate it down.
Barricade and crowd control
Bike-rack barricade for perimeter and queue lines and Mojo-style barricade for front-of-stage.
Power and cooling
Generators, distribution and cable, plus event cooling including Portacool units and misting fans for outdoor summer builds in the Gulf South.
DJ and presentation
Pioneer DJ packages, pipe and drape, podiums. We can also supply the DJ — booked and run by us — when you'd rather hire the result than the gear.
Scenic and special effects
Pipe and drape, mirror balls, confetti cannons, hazers, foggers, bubble and snow machines, string and bistro lighting, custom gobo projection, and color-changing fans.
Site comfort
Portable restrooms, shower trailers, hand-washing stations and stand-up portable heaters for cold-weather events — our own inventory, not a subcontracted call.

Where we work
We deliver from Sulphur, Louisiana, in the Lake Charles area, which puts Houston, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Beaumont inside an easy truck run. Beyond that we ship nationally across the United States and into Canada on our own equipment where it makes sense,, and we'll say so when a local sub-rental is the better answer for your budget.
FAQ
Can I rent equipment without hiring crew?
Yes. Dry-hire is available to qualified trade accounts — production companies, venues, promoters, agencies and corporate AV teams. We'll ask what the gear is going into, because the package should match the show.
Do you rent to the general public?
No. We rent business to business. If you're planning a private event, we'll quote it as a production instead, with equipment and crew included.
What deposit and insurance do you require?
A signed rental agreement and a certificate of insurance covering the equipment at replacement value, with Deep South Productions named. First-time accounts will be required to pay in full before any equipment leaves our facility. Do you deliver, or do I pick up?
Either. We run our own fleet, so we can deliver and pick up on a scheduled window, or you can load out from our dock.
Can you cover a shortfall for another production company?
Yes — sub-rental and cross-rental with other production companies is a routine part of what we do, including short-notice fills.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible for mobile stages, large audio and LED packages, and anything in festival season. Call about short-notice needs anyway; we hold spares for our own shows and can often move.
Is the equipment maintained in-house?
Yes. We run our own warehouse and maintenance shop, and every package is prepped and tested before it ships.
