Permanent AV systems for venues that can't afford to sound like a rental.

Deep South Productions designs, supplies, installs and commissions permanent audio, lighting, LED and video systems. We're not a dealer who sells you a box list and leaves. We are the same company that spends two hundred nights a year making systems work under a real show clock, which means we specify what will actually hold up and we know what a house engineer will curse in year three.

The problem

A touring rig gets one night to be right.

A touring rig gets one night to be right. A house system gets every night for the next ten years — and it has to be right for the fifty-person weeknight meeting and the sold-out Saturday, with a volunteer at the console on Sunday morning and a touring engineer plugging into it on Tuesday.

We work on existing rooms and on rooms that are still a blueprint, and we scale up or down — a cable and connector overhaul, several pieces, or a full stadium concert system.

Who we do this for

Venues we outfit

Arenas · Stadiums · Theaters · Amphitheaters · Outdoor parks · Convention centers · Casinos · Houses of worship · Restaurants, bars and clubs · Hospitality centers · Government facilities · Educational institutions · Collegiate sports venues

If your venue books touring product, the standard is simple: the visiting production manager should be able to walk in, look at the house system, and not ask for a rental.

The process

How we run a project

1. Site survey and needs review

We come look at the room. What it's used for now, what you want it used for in three years, what's failing, what's worth keeping, what your budget actually is.

2. Design and specification

System design, coverage and prediction modeling, equipment schedule, infrastructure requirements and a phased plan if the budget needs one. You get a document you can put in front of a board or a bid process.

3. Procurement

We buy through established manufacturer relationships. If a rental bridge is needed while lead times run, we have the inventory to cover you.

4. Installation

Our crews, coordinated with your general contractor, electrician and schedule. Venues rarely close for us; we work around the calendar you already sold.

5. Commissioning and tuning

Measured, tuned and documented — not "it makes sound, we're done." Coverage verified, gain structure set, show files built, presets saved.

6. Training and handoff

We train your staff and volunteers, leave documentation, and stay reachable. A system nobody knows how to run is a system you'll replace early.

7. Service and support

Ongoing maintenance, spares, upgrades and event support from a company that already has a second one on the shelf.

The difference

Why a production company instead of an integrator

Most venue systems are specified by people who have never had to make them work under pressure. We do both. We install the house system and we also roll in the touring production, which means:

  • We specify for the show that's coming, not for the spec sheet.
  • We already stock what your system uses, so a failure is a same-day fix, not a two-week RMA.
  • We can supplement your house system with rental for the show that outgrows it, and it will integrate, because we built both.
  • One company is accountable for the room and the event in it.
Buy or rent

Purchase or rental

Not every venue should buy. If you host four concerts a year, a rental package is the better financial answer and we'll tell you so. If you host forty, ownership pays for itself and we'll show you where the line is. We sell both, so the recommendation isn't rigged.

We also handle equipment procurement for clients who know what they want and simply need it sourced through professional channels.

Common questions

FAQ

Do you work with our architect and general contractor?

Yes. We work from blueprints on new builds and coordinate with the design and construction team, and we work in existing rooms around an operating calendar.

Can you phase the project across budget years?

Yes. We design the full system, then sequence it so each phase is usable on its own and nothing gets thrown away in phase three.

Do you service systems you didn't install?

Yes. We'll assess what's there and tell you honestly whether it's worth repairing.

How long does an installation take?

It depends entirely on scope and access — from a few days for a targeted upgrade to several months for a full venue build. The survey gives you a real schedule.

Will our volunteers be able to run it?

That's a design requirement, not an afterthought. We build simple, locked presets for routine use and leave full control available underneath for professionals.

Do you provide warranty and ongoing support?

Manufacturer warranties apply to the equipment, and we provide our own installation warranty and service agreements.
