Deep South Productions Acquires Pro Sound and Lighting

Founder Charles Ducote passes the torch to DSP as the Baton Rouge company joins Deep South Productions.

Deep South Productions has acquired Pro Sound and Lighting (PSL) of Baton Rouge. The deal closed Sept. 30, 2026. PSL is now part of DSP, and founder Charles Ducote is stepping away from live production to focus on his family and his family-owned businesses.

Charles started PSL in 2015 as a hobby. He grew it one show at a time into a company working concerts with national touring acts. He and Marvin Simon have known each other for years, first bidding on the same shows, then as friends.
